Chestnut cottages are an ideal base for exploring and relaxing. The nearby main town of Chateaubriant is full of character and here you will find not only places of interest , including a weekly market but you can sample French cuisine including the famous Chateaubriant steak.

For those who wish to explore the coast the beautiful town of La Baule is only an hours drive from here, with 4km of sandy beaches,it is a haven for sunworshippers and winsurfers. Pouliquin the next seaside town offers a wider range of facilities for the more adventurous with water skiing,powerboats and jet skis, as well as a harbour market

For those who enjoy fishing there are 3 well stocked fishing lakes in the area including our local lake which is only 400m from the cottages, and the others are all within a 25 minute drive, all are stocked with a wide variety of fish including tench,carp,trout,roach and catfish.
